A new class of DC-free error-correcting convolutional codes is presented. The codes are constructed based on error-correcting convolutional codes and can be encoded and decoded using convolutional encoders and decoders with slight modifications. The DC-free error correcting codes are especially well suited for applications in high-speed noisy channels.
