Description
Summary:This is an independent study that examines the behavior of users being engaged with their smart phone applications for the purpose of designing a user interface that responds rapidly and effectively when in use. This would reduce errors and costs in the process of designing and creating an application of the software engineering project. The color theory was applied to the basic web design, the perception of the consumer, and on the movement of the user's monitor cell responses. The Persona theory was put to the test in designing the user interface. The Paper prototype was tested 6 times on the interface and Context prototype 1 was tested with 80 CMU undergraduate students. The results from the study showed that the following factors affected the application functions: 1) the interpretation of the users who construed the use of the apps function by stating what they’ve used to like before using them, 2) the color in the test changes the color symbolism in the design. Users can recognize them faster in 1.8 seconds, 3) The selection in recognition allows users to focus on their goal and 4) the nature of exposure and capture devices. The position of the touch-screen machines have an effect on determining the buttons that are in the order of importance.
