Arnold Manoff

Arnold Manoff (born Pismenoff; April 25, 1914 – February 10, 1965) was an American screenwriter who was blacklisted by the Hollywood movie studio bosses in the 1950s.

As a result of the blacklist, he wrote under a pseudonym, Joel Carpenter, through the 1960s. Manoff's experiences while blacklisted were among the inspirations for the 1976 film ''The Front''. Provided by Wikipedia
