Ramkhamhaeng University

Ramkhamhaeng University Ramkhamhaeng University (RU; , ) is Thailand's largest public university. It was named in honour of King Ramkhamhaeng, one of the 5 children of Por Khun Sri-Intharathitaya and Nang Sueng, who was believed to have created the Thai alphabet and for establishing of Theravada Buddhism as the state religion of the Sukhothai Kingdom. The university provides an effective and economical way to meet public demand for higher education.

Once completed, Ramkhamhaeng University MRT station on MRT Orange Line will serve the university.

Famous university chant "พ่อกูชื่อศรีแม่กูนางเสืองลูกหลานเต๊มเมือง รามคำแหง" meaning, "My father is Sri, my mother is Sueng, with their abundance of descendants, Ramkhamhaeng". Provided by Wikipedia
