Microphone As Complement in Vibration Measurement

Working machinery will always generate vibration. Vibration can emerge sound, with the result that vibration and sound can emerge in conformity. The objective of this undergraduate thesis is to investigate the prospect of mirophone as complement in vibration measurement.
This research is bas...

Vibration can emerge sound, with the result that vibration and sound can emerge in conformity. The objective of this undergraduate thesis is to investigate the prospect of mirophone as complement in vibration measurement.
This research is based on Frequency Response Function (FRF) experiment, spectral map experiment, and power spectrum experiment. The experiment is using accelerometer sensor as a vibration measurement device and microphone as a sound measurement device.
The first step in this research is literature study about sound and vibration measurement. The next step is FRF experiment in cantilever beam. This experiment is using accelerometer, microphone, and wireless microphone as measurement sensor. After done with the FRF test and then it is continued with spectral map experiment in cantilever beam. And the last is ball bearing damage detection experiment.
The result of the experiments is mikrofon can detect unbalance phenomenon, natural frequency, and ball bearing damage. Based on that data microphone is suitable as complement in vibration measurement. text
