Summary: | Since they are in their mother's womb until they become toddlers, children need more attention. During their growth, they have different characteristics. From 3 years old, children are able to receive skills and lessons as a base to construct knowledge and thinking process. The ability will be stronger if the process of transferring knowledge is done repeatedly, and the contents of knowledge are served in balance.<p>Kindergartens develop three aspects including physical, creativity, and ratio, and those aspects are implemented by integrating one aspect with another. The most effective learning method for children is by playing since it is a form of leaning activities in kindergartens. To support the activity, there should be provided with toys that fit with their needs and interests. The importance of color application on child toys based on their age is one of the keys to success in learning program in kindergartens. Child toys are a medium of learning to ease the process of understanding the materials that are taught by the teachers. Therefore, the toys are made to enhance the learning motivation of the children.<p>The purpose of the research was to study the effects of colors on child toys, understanding the roles of colors on child toys in kindergartens to learning motivation of the children. The study applied a qualitative method to obtain some understandings about the roles of colors on child toys to the learning motivation of the children. The data were collected with a qualitative method and an experimental approach. The results of this research were expected to be a reference for a study of colors on child toys.<p>In addition to qualified child toys, children require company who are able to guide them in playing as to give some benefits from the educative plays that may improve the learning motivation of the children. It is recommended that each group of toys apply different groups of colors such as hot colors, cold colors, and contrastive colors. |
