Description
Summary:<p align="justify">Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of multiplexing and also modulation techniques which is used to transmit information with very high data rates over wireless channel. The purpose is to combat the effect of multipath fading which occur in transmission process. In previous works, there are several researches about evaluating performance of OFDM system over Additive White Gaussian Noise channel, flat fading channel, and also frequency selective fading channel with certain variables and parameters such as numbers of subcarriers, and several types of modulations. In this final project, we will research about the effect of interleaving matrix variation, channel coding combination, and also Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) size on OFDM system performance over multipath Rayleigh fading channel.<p align="justify"><p>In this final project, we simulate the OFDM system which is consists of transmitter, multipath fading channel, and receiver. In both transmitter and receiver we implement interleaving-de-interleaving, channel coding-decoding, and also IFFT and FFT subsystem. In every simulation, we make some combination so that we now the effect of each subsystem. The performance is measured by calculating Bit Error Rate (BER) for every Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) in every combination. So that, we will know how significant the performance improvement being made by using interleaving, channel coding, and IFFT/FFT in OFDM system.
