One of the therapy is acupuncture. Acupuncture is one of physical therapy method using needles which gives stimulants to a neuron. Needles are punctured to certain points on the body. The puncture is aimed to increase the self healing. This final project discusses about mathematical model of impulsive dynamics of a neuron stimulated by acupuncture. Besides, the contribution of acupuncture stimulant to the changes of potential membrane is also studied. The model is formed based on Hodgkin-Huxley Model and Fitzhugh-Nagumo Model. Hodgkin-Huxley Model emphasizes the achievement of the membrane potential threshold for action potential that leads neuron to work optimally. Meanwhile Fitzhugh-Nagumo Model describes the difference between fit and less fit condition of the body. When the body is less fit than acupuncture is needed. In this model, a neuron's stimulant (acupuncture) is assumed as a constant current. The present model will also describes neuron's behavior after being stimulated by acupuncture and will be important for the development of acupuncture technology. text
