Description
Summary:Pasundan-1 well is located in Jonggol Area, West Java province, more less 40 km southern ward of Jakarta City. This well is one of the most interest prospect within Citarum Block and explored to penetrate Pasundan structure in Carbonate Baturaja Formation.Carbonate of Baturaja Fm is the main reservoir target to produce hydrocarbon in West Java Basin. This rock also shows complexity of facies, porosity and permeability. The main goal of this research is to understand the facies development, environment deposition, and diagenetic process in relation with porosity. Detail analyze of this research is also using seismic study to divide Baturaja Carbonate into several facies which are supported by petrography analyze of sidewall core and logging result during drilling. This research is very interested due to Pasundan-1 is the only deep well which is designed to penetrate down to basement within Bogor Basin. This well was drilled down to 10,412 feet, or almost 100 feet deeper than the original planned within Jatibarang Fm instead of Basement which was deeper than predicted. Therefore, considering less exploration activity to prove hydrocarbon in Bogor Basin, the result of Pasundan-1 hopefully will encourage the exploration activity within this area which is located in intramountain basin and covered by volcanic sediment. From the research, is resulted that Carbonate of Baturaja Fm in Pasundan-1 well has at least four facies. These facies were developed from slope to back reef, which has diagenetic process in last stage. Dolomite process was intensively happened, replacement and vuggy porosity created. A little sample of hydrocarbon filling in facture showed in thin section makes this area interest to be evaluated further.
