Description
Summary:The ability of coupling photocatalysis reaction with separation process is a benefit of photocatalytic membranes application. Previous research succeed in making photocatalytic membrane by coupling of various commercial organic polymers with commercial titanium dioxide. This membrane has high performance of decomposition organic molecule and separation. In this Research, is attempted to synthesize photocatalytic membrane by impregnate titanium dioxide with trisacetylacetonatechormium(III) as photosensitizer and immersed on polystyrene comaleic anhydride film. The results show that photocatalytic degradation methylene blue activity under visible light irradiation increase by amount of added photosensitizer on the photocatalyst system. Permselectivity membrane test show 75% methylene blue rejected. Moreover, decolorization methylene blue of synthesized photocatalytic membrane is 95%. However, based on Chemical Oxygen Demand analysis is known that its degradation is not totally. Synthesized photocatalytic membrane has high photocatalytic activity and separation. <br />
