Summary: | Jawer kotok [Coleus scutellarioides (L.) Benth., Lamiaceae] leaf is traditionally used to cure many kinds of diseases. Based on various pharmacological activities of flavonoid, this research aim is to isolate one of its flavonoids content. Crude drug was extracted by reflux using ethanol and the extract was fractionated by liquid-liquid extraction. One fraction was preparatively paper chromatographed to yield one compound which was characterized by paper chromatography using spraying reagent of 5 % aluminium chloride, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, and by infrared spectrophotometry. The isolate was assumed to be a flavonol. <br />
