Clutch is one of the major parts in automotive transmission, but still the availability of reliable clutch testing device in Indonesia is still low. Therefore, in this Final Assignment, the stroking fatigue tester which is used to test the durability of diaphragm spring will be designed and constructed to meet the necessity of force and displacement measurement when the fatigue test is undergone.<p>In order to produce the reliable testing device, design plans are needed to be made. First of all, it is necessary to define the product DR&O (Design Requirements & Objectives) which meets the objectives. In the next step, the literatures study will be done to know and compare the existing products available on the market. After the idea concepts has been generated, the product mechanism is needed to be selected. There are two possible product mechanism to be used which are mechanical linkages and hydraulic mechanism. To select the suitable mechanism for the stroking fatigue tester, the actuating force on the diaphragm clutch is measured.<p>Based on the force and displacement measurement, the hydraulic mechanism was finally selected. To transform the ideas into reality, the product CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is made and the needed testing equipments are arranged. The result is that the stroking fatigue tester equipments were finally assembled to meet the testing need. The frequency and the spring displacement of the fatigue test can be set in MATLAB while the spring force and displacement can be measured by load cell and LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) with the aid of data acquisition equipments and software. <br /> text
