Summary: | Nowadays, mobile communication is growing up rapidly in Indonesia. This case appears the raising of new telecommunication operators. The raising of operators could optimize the telecommunication networks, like the implementation of resource sharing. The most possible resource sharing to be implemented right now is tower sharing or passive sharing. In this case, the operator shares tower and supporting infrastructure (such as AC, shelter, power supply, grounding, etc) to the other operator.<p> <br />

With this program, cost efficiency will be reached. The average of cost reduction is 29.08%. In the other hand, the average of interconnection tariff reduction is 25.54% for call duration (cost charged when communication built), and 24.80% for call set up (cost charged to establish connection before communication is built). From this final project, we prove that cost efficiency will be reached with infrastructure sharing. |
