| Summary: | In efforts to develop the participation of farmer in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) irrigation network and farmer organization, the author had conducted a study on Jaban irrigation scheme. The objectives of this study are measure the participation level of farmers in O&M planning, farmers organisation, Irrigation Network which influenced by harvest, Farmer satisfaction, Society Awareness and Government Funding. the perception on the performance of irrigation network influenced by farmer participation ages, educational level, job, land ownership, status of land ownership, income level and the efforts taken to improve the O&M irrigation network. From the result of sampling 52 respondents from the population of 1239 members of farmer group, it was shown that the level of participation of farmers in O&M planning was not sufficient, but the level of participation of farmers in rehabilitation of O&M, their participation in the organization the farmer group, and the perception of performance of irrigation network were very satisfyng. It means that farmers have the potential for prepared and capable of accepting the whole irrigation network, in the work area. |
