Summary: | This study case talks about analysis slope stability of Mahakam river in Tenggarong, East Kalimantan. Slope which has been builded by strength using sheet pile has failed, causing the river slope experience to slide. The purpose of this study case is to analyse the cause of slide and giving some alternative solutions which is better to be used as slope strength. Proposed alternative solutions will be evaluated by value of safety factor and momen. And the parameter value should be under permitted level.<p>The study case analysis is using plaxis 2 dimension and 3 dimension program. The analysis is about analysis of existing slope condition, condition of standard strength, and analyse the used alternative solution. There are four proposed alternative solutions. All proposed alternative solutions use driven pile, with different configuration for each alternative. All of this analysis is studied by using plaxis 2 dimension program. The best alternative solution will be chose from the proposed alternative solutions. And then, this solution will be analysed by using plaxis 3 dimension program.<p>The result of the analysis indicates that the existing slope condition is sensitive to collapse because the safety factor of the slope is near to one, and standard strength which is used has been failed because the strength does not reach the hard soil layer, and the safety factor is near to one. To analyse the proposed alternative solutions, first alternative represent the best alternative, because it has larger safety factor than other alternatives, and the momen is in permitted level. |
