Coastal erosion defines into backward movement of coastal line from the initial position. Erosion was occurred when littoral sediment transport along the coast causing sediments to move from one place to another. Littoral sediment transport occurred when incoming wave direction form an angle with normally coastal line. The Cipatujah beach with kind of land used as settlements, and tourism area has undergone damage causes by seriously coastal erosion with coastal backward movement until 6,2 m/year. Direction of littoral sediment transport occurs from east to west. Position of Cipatujah beach be opposite in directly with Indonesia Ocean makes it susceptible to the erosion risk whether by the ocean waves or current, and aggravated from absence of structural management in the area. Analysis performed within this research are tides fluctuation analysis to estimates design elevation guidance, wave forecasting using series of wind data in ten years (1989-1998) from the Stasiun Pengamat Dirgantara LAPAN of Pameungpeuk to examine predicted wave heights and periods, and finally analysis of shoreline change using GENESIS and SBEACH software. From result of analysis could be determined the critical points of erosion and arranged concept of erosion prevention which considered as a few alternative of cost protection structure such as groin, breakwater and beach fill and also recommendations needed to development Cipatujah beach area. <br />
