By analizing those two aspect, we can simulate the haze dispersion using an air quality model.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The aim of this research is to apply the Community Mesoscale Air Quality (CMAQ) combined with the emission model Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel Emissions (SMOKE) in simulating a forest burning haze dispersion. A data that used in this research are a meteorological produced by Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) and a emission data that prepared by Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel Emissions (SMOKE).<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research focused in forest burning on 3 and 5 october 2006 at Kalimantan and Sumatra. The pattern of haze dispersion investigated by Aerosol Index from TOMS (Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer, which is qualitatively give a good result that appropiate with the wind field from meteorology model WRF. The forest burning haze dispersion simulation with CMAQ used a synthetic emission data, with assumption about 2000 Megaton carbon. Generally, the output from CMAQ air quality model not too good for haze dispersion pattern, but it can simulate well the plume rise from forest burning, its about 2 km until 2.5 km height. This height is appropiate with the qualitative analyse using Aerosol Index data and wind field from WRF. From the result, CMAQ air quality model together with Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) model and Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel Emissions (SMOKE) emission model give a good chance for application in Indonesia, though need an improving about emission data inventory. text |
