Summary:<p align="justify">Overcurrent protection is an important thing in power system. To obtain the expected result , we must coordinate the installed overcurrent relays. It's easy to calculate relay coordination in radial system, but for system with lot of source and busbar, it will be more complex to get the result. Thus, optimation method is needed to solve this coordination problem. This final project, it is outlined the application of linier programming to accompolish coordination equations are arranged to form linier equations, with the TMS (Time Multiple Setting) as an optimized value. Objective function obtained by minimize each TMS value on installed relay in network system under the condition that all coordination constraints are satisfied. The optimation method has been simulated in radial system, 8-bus IEEE, and 30-bus IEEE system. The simulation result shown that this optimation method had succeed to solve the relay coordination problems efficiently, quickly and simultaneously.
