Cileunyi Subdistrict, a part of planology deconcentration area for Bandung City located in Bandung Regency, has high incidence case for diarrhea cases which placed diarrhea as 10 of the most common diseases in the area. Evaluation done to the water supply and environmental sanitation condition of the residents which are suspected to be the cause of the high incidence case of diarrhea. Methods used in this study are analysis of the existing water source, sanitation facilities condition, and the local inhabitants habit in defecating for each village located in Cileunyi Subdistrict (6 villages total). Result showed that Cileunyi Kulon and Cileunyi Wetan villages have the highest incidence case of diarrhea (20 case/1000 people /year for Cileunyi Kulon and 14 case/1000 people/year for Cileunyi Wetan in 2006), lower access to clean water source (under 70% for both villages), and more than 25% of the villagers with defecating habits on the river/ditch/bushes. Planning for sanitation facility improvement should be made with taking the environmental condition and sustainable sanitation facility into consideration, the chosen location is in RW 01, Cileunyi Wetan Village. Infrastructure improvement is planned by using public latrine, double chamber septic tank, and subsurface system constructed wetland. Sand is used as filtering media, whereas the plant used in this design is Typha angustifolia. Effluent from the treatment is planned to be used in watering the field on the surrounding area. <br /> text
