Using Rational method, there are maximum discharge to analyze inundation area in upstream Bengawan Solo. There are ten sub-watershed which is predicted as inundation area with over discharge is 0.29-43.12 m3/second. Therefore as one of the steps for flood mitigation, we classified the watershed through Multiple Regression process concerning three variables, which is erosion level, slopes, and altitude which is The universal soil loss equation (usle), were used to calculate the erosion level.

There are four class of watershed at the upstream Bengawan Solo. The first class is located at the east of Upper-course of Bengawan Solo, with high slopes, altitude, and also high erosion level. The third and fourth class is located at lower slopes, altitude and erosion level, compared with class 1 and class 2. This classification can be basic of the land use regulation on the upstream of Bengawan Solo watershed so that the environment remains protected. The watershed area that classified as class 1 should be use as permanent forest, the reason being is because this is the water resources area, while class 2 could be used as commercial forest. Furthermore, the class 3 and class 4 could be used for agricultural activity, and residential area. |
