Summary:PT. PINDAD is the only one of Manufacturing Industry and stated own company that specializing in Military commercial products. This status becomes one reason for this company to start to improve their productivity level in order to keep good relationship with its customer. This condition caused by almost of the consumer have long-term contract with PT.PINDAD in order to fulfill the weapons demand. Department of Machining PT.PINDAD has a task to produce Airbrake Component for 3 periods that consist of 22 parts. This department faced several problems in fulfill Airbrake Component because limitation of facilities, resources and time producing which is only 51 days. The objective of this final project is to propose and analyze alternatives for production plans of Airbrake Component in order to achieve company objective. In this matter the alternatives are Operate existing capacity with lateness(Alternative 1), Adding capacity through overtime(Alternative 2), Adding capacity through purchase of machines(Alternative 3), and Adding capacity through mixed of adding machines and using overtime(Alternative 4). In this final project, four alternatives were proposed and analyze by using data about Airbrake Component, number of resources and, contract agreement and cost of resources then the data input to Rough Cut Capacity Planning and Master Production Schedule (MPS) methods. Based on the analysis of total cost and contract termination possibility, alternative 4 is the best alternatives which the total cost is IDR 606,760,000.00, It means that this total cost is the lowest than 3 alternative. By implement this recommendation, Department of Machinery in PT.PINDAD could fulfill all Airbrake Components in time with the lowest cost of adding resources. It is hoped that this chosen Alternatives can be used by Department of Machinery in PT.PINDAD as an input in developing production plan of Airbrake component for the three periods.
