Flood problem that occurred in Jakarta city is caused by typical matters in several regions in Jakarta itself, such as a rapid transitional function of land due to the ongoing development process, topography condition of Jakarta city which is located at a considerably flat area, and the drainage system that is no longer able to hold the rainwater because of sedimentation and solid waste problem. The example of such region is Komplek Kejaksaan which is located in upstream area of PHB UNAS-Siaga Bapenas water system but still has flood problem. Flood that happens at Komplek Kejaksaan is caused by its location that positioned in a lower contour of sloping edge area compared to surrounding areas so that water current from Pasar Minggu, Terminal Pasar Minggu, and Komplek Bea Cukai will head to Komplek Kejaksaan. Meanwhile, the drainage system in Komplek Kejaksaan is no longer able to hold rainwater so that it will overflow to the road. This condition is worsening by reduction of channel capacity because of sedimentation, solid waste and citizen's behavior in discharging their domestic wastewater to the drainage system. Waste water discharge based on calculation is 233.357 l/day or equal with 9,723 m3/jam and will be outward in 53.92 hour. In order to handle the flood problem in Komplek Kejaksaan, a whole observation of existing condition of drainage system is needed to be done by evaluating the existing condition so that several alternative solutions can be suggested. text
