Summary:<p align="justify">Digital compensator has been used to compensate control system of DC motor. Transfer function of DC motor is determined by step function test. Signal response is assumed to be a response of second order system. Using thyristor as main power part of rectification causing angle time delay response, the time delay is maximum 10 millisecond on 50 hz system. The time delay angle is always moving within 1 millisecond to 10 milliseconds. From laboratory experiment, unit step response is not showing good result, especially on the system with load attached on it. The time delay angle of thyristor causes not good response on system transient response due to step voltage input.
