Summary: | Applications of two-dimensional cellular automata have been applied to industry or natural science to determine patterns or systems. In this final project, simulations using model of square cellular automata with Moore's Neighborhood will be used to study the spread of the forest fires. The rate of fire spread, the influence of the wind and the topography are parameters affecting the forest fire spread. The simulations shown that if the forest is flat and there is no wind, the fire front spread circularly. Moreover, if the forest is not flat and there is wind condition, the fire will spread faster from lower neighborhood height. <br />
