Summary: | <p align="justify">In telecommunication world nowadays, wireless communication technology has been developing fast and complex. In the future, wireless communication requires high data rate with a high quality and reliability to be utilized worldwide. Modulation types classification for communication signal is developed to increase the performance of future wireless communication.<p align="justify"><p>On this final project research, a program which is able to classify modulation technique for digital and analog signals is designed and tested. AM SSB SC, FM, BPSK, QPSK, BFSK, and QAM are the signals this program able to classify. To classify these signal, the program uses 2 algorithms : Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Variance values of the output signals after transforming and filtering are used as a reference of classification. <br />

Program simulation steps consists : creating input signals which will be identified, feature extraction for the received signal, and feature recognition to decide which modulation technique used by the input signal is.<p align="justify"><p>The test of this program results that, in general, this program is able to effectively (succes rate above 90 %) classify modulation type used by a signal with a minimum signal to noise ratio (SNR) 11 dB, amount of sampling more than 10-3 second or 20 bit of data and carrier frequency of 50 kHz. <br />
