Summary:Distributed Generation (DG) is a small-scale power generation technology which normally connected to distribution network. DG may be used as an independent electric power source, or as a power source connected in parallel with electrical network.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> PT. PLN (Persero) APJ Cianjur will implement a small-scale mini hydro power plant (PLTMH) Girimukti on Cijedil feeder. This PLTMH will be parallel connected to the PLN medium voltage network which is used as an additional power supply to loads at the end of feeder of Cijedil due to drop voltage that occurs as a result of long line network.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Autorecloser is a very effective method to clear faults, especially temporary faults. However PLTMH Girimukti implementation will cause problems to the network protection system, especially to the autorecloser performance. When a fault occurs at the feeder, then PLTMH could lead to unsuccessful reclosure of autorecloser or to reclose when the voltage of network are in out of phase. This can cause islanding and provide electrical power to the load on Cijedil feeder independently.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In this case, before PLTMH connected, it is important to study about autorecloser performance on the Cijedil feeder. On this final project, the study is done with ATPDraw 1.14 version software.
