This modulation technique operates by converting audio signal into digital signal, and vice versa. The output is a subsystem that can be combined with other subsystem. The combination produce a system capable to explain processes happening in fiber optic communication system, with voice and digital data as the signal's source as a practice device in Telematics Laboratory of Electrical Engineering ITB.<p align="justify"><p>Processes design a subsystem PCM codec start with subsystem spesification's. Followed by divide subsystem into some of module. Protel DXP2004 is used as a tools to make Circuit Board (PCB) in realization phase. <br /> <br /> <br /> PCM codec subsystem that is implemented consist of three module that is operational amplifier module, sincronization module, and PCM codec module. Input operational amplifier module is voice signal and produce gain 52,041 dB maximum at transmitter side. gain is higher 2,041 dB than Falcon corp recommendation 50 dB.<p align="justify"><p>Sincronization module is used IC 4-bit magnitude comparator so this module can accomodate 16 channerl. Quantization processes is used companding algorithm A-law. <br /> text
