Description
Summary:The investigation of B Emission stars is mainly caused by the difference of characteristics among its members. This final project studies one of B Emission star variation in its double-peak emission line profile known as V/R (Violet/Red) variation. This variation illustrates intensity change from violet peak to red peak. It then can be used to know the period of a B emission star thought its phase change. The data used in this final project is observation done by Djoni N. Dawanas et al. (2007). The result from data processing using IRAF software shows that HR 6118 exhibit single-peak emission line profile. For this reason, its E/C value is used instead of V/R value. The E/C value of 44.86 is obtained from observation dated 08 May 2007. The other three stars, HR 6451, HR 8402, and HR 8628, exhibit double peak emission line. V/R value for HR 6451 from observation dated 09 June 2007 is 1.01, while for HR 8402 is 1.02 and HR 8628 is 0.99 respectively from observation dated 24 July 2007. <br />
