| Summary: | Regional development is effort to trigger economic development and decrease regional gap that radiates to social and economic activity and not entirely the public enhances resources carrying capacity that exist and provide chance. The objective of regional development is to increase economically and ecology values with long term target such as improve public welfare.<p>Kecamatan Karangmojo had been established as Agropolitan Area expected to move husbandry agribusiness as alternative to increase community economic. To develop husbandry at Karangmojo must be sustained by regional carrying capacity, but it is not exist. Therefore it must be examined carrying capacity in this area to develop beef cattle husbandry at Kecamatan Karangmojo.<p>Regional carrying capacity to develop livestock production is ability for area such as environment resources, human resources, institutional and supported facility to carry on production. Regional carrying capacity analysis consist environment resources analysis as land resources analysis to prepare animal feed and water resources to fulfillment need water especially for livestock drinking; human resources analysis consist of quantity of farmer than need of farmer with characteristic such as age, education level, experience of breeding, ownership, capability to manage and workforce carry in household; analysis animal husbandry group institutional is group role in facilitating member to increase production, knowledge capacity of farmer and capital access; and production support analysis that includes animal market available and poskeswan as well as service rate.<p>The result of study shows carrying capacity of land resources is only 6% from necessity to prepare cow population, existence of water power reaches 108% for water drinking. Existence of water as much as 121% for breeder needs as well as workforce other as much as 2,73 times from household member. Husbandry characteristic at Karangmojo whereas average 49 years, Junior High School education, breaded is main job, experience in breeding 13 years, land ownership 7.764 m2, livestock ownership two cows, capability of breeding is three cows. All group facilitates their member in form production infrastructure, production service, training and investment credit. Animal market facility does not support to cow market as well poskeswan service rate and IB that not maximal.<p>From this theory, concept and analysis result can be concluded that husbandry at Karangmojo is not supported by environment resource but human resources and group role exist. Nevertheless supporting facility to develop cow cattle husbandry. Therefore, suggested to develop modern cow husbandry in order to build animal feed manufacture, animal market and agribusiness training for farmer. <br />
