Summary: |
Water is the resources of life and has an important role in sustaining of human activities. The rapid development in West Java Province needs adequate sustainable structures and infrastructures included water availability. With existence of governmental plan West Java Province government plan that is development of West Bandung, then Integrated Sport Center Master Plan development is created where surface water resource that would be exploited in effort to fulfilling water requirement is taken away from Cimeta River. Cimeta river basin is part of Citarum river basin master plan has catchments area 182, 62 km2 is a potential water resource to fulfill several of water requirements such as: domestic, irrigation, industry and flushing. The annual rainfall is high enough between 1.553,5 mm up to 3.485,5 mm, catchments area of study locus is 29,25 km2. the objective of study are to create study and to give input about water resources potential in planning and developing water resources for now and future.

The methods that are used for analyzing the water availability are F.J. Mock method and NRECA method, where these methods simulate monthly water balance on a certain catchments area which objective for the calculation of the total run-off using monthly rainfall, evapotranspiration, soil moisture and ground water availability and also is used Rational method. After all methods are compared, finally NRECA method is better. The annual water availability in the catchment's area of study locus various between 0, 17 m3/sec up to 2, 24 m3/sec, while the water requirement up to year 2030 is 1, 31 m3/sec, it happened of lacking water at certain months (deficit). First strategy that would be taken is by accommodating excess of water at certain months and distribute it in dry season with existing requirement data, accommodated water in can only fulfill water requirement until August year 2025. Second strategy that would be taken is reduction of service area for garden sprinkler in Sport Center support area become 90%, its result accommodated water in can only fulfill Water requirement until August year 2029. Third strategy that would be taken thus the existing water availability can fulfill water requirement sustainable until planning year in year 2030 is using second strategy above and optimization of irrigation water requirement by shifting the beginning of plant season time, its result accommodated water in can fulfill water requirement until the end of planning year. The total holding capacity of the reservoir which is needed for study locus catchments area is three point sixty six million m3.

For furthermore study, needed study about reservoir operation optimization and to support Reservoir operation, needed a Demand Management, that is how to arrange and manage water required according to water provide ability for example by arrange settlement of a region, have to consider boundary of water availability that could be distributed for the region. To economize water and fulfill lacking water requirement for Sport Center area, can be strived by recycle or processing of water which have been used to be exploited again. |
