Nowadays, music in Indonesia is developing relatively fast, marked by the newcomers in local music industry with varying genres. Among the development of music genres which vary following the era changing and improvements in technology, classical music is the one which still exists as an everlasting music through the ages. Classical music fans is never faded, they grew more and yet stretched out to all different ages. This happens to be in all over the world, including Indonesia. <br /> <br /> Bandung, as one of the big cities in Indonesia which has been noted as the city of art and music because of the large amount of artist and musician it brought, had shown a wonderful progress in classical music. The fact shown by the increasing quantities of music education institution – either formal or non formal education; the increasing amount of classical music performances given by world class classical musicians, which have been held periodically; and the large increasing in people's interest based on the consideration of the classical music's importance for brain development.<p>The huge interest which's been improving day by day unfortunately has not been supported by the existence of classical music performing facilities. This lack of facilities made most students in Bandung who wanted to learn music had been forced to move to Jakarta or Yogyakarta which have got better music schools and facilities. Meanwhile, Bandung musician therefore joined the classical music groups in Jakarta since this city has a little better public performance facilities. According to the fact, a classical music performing facility should be built to support Bandung classical musicians. Also, the existence of a grand performing facility would be a new icon of this city and strengthen the brand image of Bandung as the city which has been bringing up most talented artists and musicians of Indonesia. <br />
