The ripple becomes bigger then creates waves, called wind waves. Stronger winds (like storm surges) cause larger waves.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Information about wind waves forecasting which can be understandable are needed by almost user as a tool for making a decision before them doing their activities at the sea. There are so many information systems about wave with their pluses and minuses. So, this Final Project has a theme about building a prototype of wind wave's information system based on website as a first step for building a real-time information system.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This prototype built by using WAVEWATCH III model as a tool to result the data about significant wave height and wind speed forecasting with 27 km x 27 km model resolution. An input for the model above is obtained from Meteorological Model MM5 as a wind data. This input is processed by WAVEWATCH III until resulting forecast data during two day every six hours a day. All of these data are integrated on a system within a web application CMS which include Joomla! application and represented with the website. text
