For the effectiveness of evaluation, should be considered the validity of performance indicators based on the decree of the financial minister number 198IKMK.01611998 that is used present.<p align="justify"><p>On this research, the Balanced Scorecard as a new approach of measurement system that was introduced by Kaplan and Norton, was developed to suggest a set of performance indicators which were derived from vision, mission and corporate strategy using four perspectives ; financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective and learning and growth perspective. By comparing the suggested performance indicators and the performance indicators based on the decree of the financial minister, was with the purpose to prove hypotheses that performance indicators based on Balanced Scorecard were more logical than performance indicators based on the decree of the financial minister.<p align="justify"><p>The hypotheses were tested by comparing objectives representation and objectives linkage reflection of four perspective on performance indicators from two different bases.<p align="justify"><p>The results suggest 12 performance indicators based on Balanced Scorecard for the corporate that were proven to be more logical in the overall compared to the performance indicators based on the decree of the financial minister number 198IKMK.01611998.<p align="justify"><p>According to the results, it is recommended to adjust the performance indicators based on the decree of the financial minister into company's objective condition, and consider to apply the performance indicators based on Balanced Scorecard at PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) and to conduct further research using the second and the third level of the corporate reformation strategy. <br /> text
