Pipeline in shore approach region is risky since there are many factors can result pipeline fail. As a result, analysis of many aspects is required to make sure that pipeline is in safe condition.<p>This final project started by learning all the references ruling the gas transmission and distribution. Collect all information data on the field as the input for design criteria analyzing pipeline in shore approach region. Analysis like trenching and burial method, soil resistance, on bottom stability, pipe stress analysis, pipe stress analysis if displacement occur to the pipeline, and stress analysis of anchor block. The analysis of pipe stress use software CAESAR II v.4.20. Stress analysis are done with no displacement and finished when displacement reached 10 m. In this bachelor thesis, the pipeline buried in clay soil is in safe state when pulled by 40 cm and for pipeline buried in sand the maximum displacement is 3 cm. Stress analysis of anchor block is using software ANSYS 11.<p>The result of these analyzes can determine whether pipeline in shore approach region is in safe state or not and to predict the condition that can make the pipeline fail. <br /> text
