The construction of the upper part of this tool can rotate by 360o that enables the tool working or operating in a relatively narrow location. Maintenance is defined as an activity that is done to guarantee that an asset is able to do its function at a desired standard. With the purpose of making an estimation on the cost of maintenance that takes into account the designs of the damage which is taken at random, will reach the purpose of this study, namely to give an alternative approach for estimating an accurate total cost of maintenance. The method used for achieving the purpose of this study is by an expectation method which is based on mathematics modeling for purpose of getting the estimation figure or number. Black box approach is used to characterize the damages of the tool that is designed with distribution function from the time in between the damage of the tool. The total downtime of the tool is designed by using cummulative stochastic process that takes into consideration the frequency and the length of time the Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance is done. Analysis on the factors that have caused the damage is the characteristic of stones, skill of the tool operator and the reliability of the substitute components. Results of research shows that the classification of critical components are tooth bucket, pin bucket, adaptor, bucket and light. Based on the results of the calculation, it indicates that the expectation of the occurrance of corrective maintenance is 57 times a year, total expectation of the occurance of preventative maintenance is 47 times per year, the expectation of the occurance of downtime is 510.96 hours. text |
