Description
Summary:
In wireless LAN (WLAN), the access point (AP) is connected to the internet to provide network service to users. Such system has limited coverage. Hybrid wireless network is another solutions to overcome this problem.

Wireless hybrid network is a network build on wireless infrastructure and wireless mesh network. With this kind of network, the system coverage can be extending by adding number of AP that form wireless mesh network. The using of wireless mesh network in wireless hybrid is because it has several advantages such as self organized, self configured and self healing. With all the advantages that own by the network, wireless hybrid is expected to had robustness, high reliability and better service coverage.

To the develop hybrid wireless network, at least required minimum three hardware devices. One device is operated at infrastructured mode, and the others are operating at managed mode and ad-hoc. This hardware should support wireless mesh network implementation. Beside the hardware requirement, this network must use a firmware that support wireless mesh network routing protocol.
