At the present time, gas hydrates are the best unconventional resources compared to natural gas. If they can be tapped even only in small amounts, it can provide future world energy demands.<p>These enormous quantity of gas hydrates attracted many countries which in the current time are having its growth of natural gas consumption and also having potential gas hydrates resources. Despite many studies have been done to asses gas hydrates potential location and it's quantity, further studies are needed to get better gas hydrate characterization.<p>This paper describe literature studies based from other author articles and papers that have been published which consist of gas hydrates characterization, current estimation, physical behavior, occurrence indicator, possible production methods, and state of the art. <br />
