WiMax as one of BWA's standards is also experiencing major advancement. In Indonesia, WiMax implementation has been around for few years, with the majority of the user is corporate user. At present, WiMax network implementation is still mainly concentrated in big cities like Jakarta. Alongwith the growth of the user, the capacity of the existing network has to be increased in order to be able to serve the user without having to sacrifice the quality of service.

The suitable method to be implemented in corporate user area in Jakarta for increasing the capacity of the network is cell splitting. In cell splitting, cell radius will be reduced so that there are some new smaller cell that formed. To reduced the cell radius, there are some methods that can be used, i.e. lowering the antenna's height, increasing the antenna's tilting angle, and reducing the antenna's transmit power. Therefore, evaluation of those three cell radius reducing method will be done in this final project with the help of software cellplanner. From simulation result, it can be recognized that the most efficient method for cell radius reducing method is the increasing of antenna’s tilting angle. text
