Description
Summary:Jakarta Bay has 13 rivers estuary that flowing into the bay after passing through Jakarta City. A lots of nutrient are carried to the bay, have been worst the water quality. Studying the ecosystem condition continously is necessary to control the ecosystem. Knowing the distribution of the components of ecosystem, such as chlorophyll-a, nitrate, phosphate, zooplankton, decomposer, and dissolve oxygen are needed to analyses the influences of each components to support the ecosystem. Ecosystem model NPZD was developed by Guo and Yanagi (1998) and also Buranapratheprat (2006) applied to this study by adding dissolved oxygen. This model used the source of nutrient discharge from 4 rivers mouth; Angke River, Ancol River, Sunter River, and Bekasi River, that were adopt from Atlas Oseanologi P3O-LIPI (1995). The hydrodynamic influences that used in this study are the average tidal current in west monsoon and east monsoon. The simulation result showed that the concentration of the ecosystem’s components in west monsoon are higher than in east monsoon.
