Reliability, efficiency, and security of these machines are depend on the bearing performance. Wrong operating condition and bad lubrication are two major factors that cause the bearing premature defect. In Laboratorium Dinamika PRI ITB, research about bearing characteristic as changing effect of load, lubricant, and rotating speed has not been done yet before. In this research, vibration test will be done with shock pulse method and vibration method to know the bearing vibration characteristic.<p>In this research, shock pulse method is done with purpose to see variation value of shock pulse at various level of load, lubricant, and rotating speed. Besides that, vibration method is done also. Vibration method has purposed to investigate load, lubricant, and rotating speed influence toward vibration RMS value. Spectrum result from these two methods are being compared toward each other to see if there is some correlation between these two spectrums.<p>The result of these two methods show that lubricant condition is working fine for both various level load and rotating speed. Spectrum of shock pulse method and vibration method show that the frequency patterns are random. This can be occurred because of new bearing usage so that the frequencies that appear are random frequencies. The comparison between spectrum of shock pulse method and spectrum of vibration method does not give any correlation. This can be happened because frequencies that appear in shock pulse method spectrum do not have any similarity with frequencies in vibration method spectrum. |
