There are several parameters that can be applied to determine the network performance. One of the most commonly-applied parameter, which is used in this paper, is Response Time. Response Time is the time elapsed by system to complete the request-response process. The purpose of this final project is to show how the Response Time elevates if the request arrival rate at server rises up.

To estimate the Response Time, this final project uses the simulation approach. The Response Times are measured in every simulation scenarios. Thus, simulation plays a very important role in this final project. OMNeT++, an object-oriented modular discrete event simulator, is operated as a simulation program. The simulation runs using some modules in OMNeT++ with several modifications to measure the Response Times.
text
