Summary: | Nowadays, all the aspects of life has changed rapidly. Technology is the aspect key that lead us to improve our life . It also happen to manufacturing industry. Every manufacturing industry has to developed its special quality to maintain its existence on global competition. One of the best way to increase product quality is by modifying the presence machine with good plan. A manufacturing company that produces spring and stabilizer for automotive industry now needs machinery modification. The main problem of this machine is the variation of its product geometry is relatively large. Machine which need to be improve is the torsional spring coiling machine.<p>The variation of angle between ends of torsional spring will affect the amount of moment that can be loaded to the spring. In this final project, the quality improvement of product (make angle between ends of torsional spring homogeneous) is done by modifying some parts of the machine, for example: decouple, servomotor addition, and sensor. The process of modifying starts from modeling the actual condition of torsional spring coiling machine, then followed by analyzing to the actual condition, especially in the system control. The last step is modifying the mechanism and the system control of torsional spring coiling machine. |
