Summary: |
Map use is the fist important step in successful taxation processes including precise calculation of NJOP, fairer and more evenly distributed taxation, realization of tax potential increase, tax administration discipline improvement, revenue increase, and taxpayer service enhancement. Due to the importance of map role in PBB, continuous efforts in creating easy-to-use map management with projection system to calculate area of large scale PBB map are required. Map projection system currently used is the one as decreed in Kep 533/PJ200, i.e, UTM projection system with WGS 84 datum. This study was aimed at observing the influence the use of reductive units, such as point scale factor, meridian conversion, and horizontal direction correction in Crossing Conformal Normal Cylindrical (CCNC) projection, on precision of distance, angle, and area calculation result of projection plane.

The study was done in two stages, i.e., design of CCNC projection system and analysis of area comparisons. Area comparisons include comparison between object area in CCNC projection plane and the one in ellipsoidal plane, comparison between object area in UTM projection plane and that in ellipsoidal plane.

The study results are the design of CCNC projection system including projection system characteristics, formulae to conversion geodetic coordinate Latitude, Longitude (La ,Lo) into CCNC projection proper coordinate (x,y), and its inverse, i.e., the formulae to conversion CCNC projection proper coordinate (x ,y) into geodetic coordinate (La, Lo). In CCNC projection system, the comparison result between object area in CCNC projection plane and the same one in ellipsoidal plane shows that the difference in area conforms to the tolerance prescribed in KEP-533/PJ/2000, i.e., 10 %; thus, CCNC projection system can be applied in handling PBB large scale block map.
