| Summary: | Location Based Service is an aplication that can give the user an information service based on user's environment. Nowadays, LBS aplication has became the world's needs and trend. LBS aplication was developed to satisfy the human needs for location information. Through this final project, a location based service application will be developed in a mobile device with low end and middle end spesification by using a GPS as a location censor.<p>Bandung-ITB Guide is a location based service application with embedded GPS using client-server architecture, it can be run on a mobile device that has wireless connection to internet. Bandung-ITB Guide is divided into two application that each connected, that is Bandung-MapGuide and ITB-MapGuide. In Bandung-MapGuide application, user can know their position by using street name input from the user mobile device, send it to the server using http protocol, then server will send a response contain of location information to the user. In ITB-MapGuide, user can know their position use the GPS coordinate received by mobile device send it to the server then server will response by sending a location information to the user.<p>The user can also using the other features in this application including navigation, finding point-of-interest, finding nearest location, and view detail information from each point-of-interest. |
