Summary: | Community Development of PT. PQR has been started since year 2000. These programs have been started by establishing the Dharma Bhakti Berau Coal Foundation (Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Berau Coal/YDBBC) as implementation the Community Development program the Berau regency, East Kalimantan province. The implementation of Community Development concentrated on four main activities: human resource development, health and nutrition development, cultural and environmental development, and social contribution through giving of aid to society in so many forms.<p>This research use qualitative analysis method. Data researching use structural interview method by questioner, in-depth interview.<p>From the side of the program realization, there are still some constraints causing company's development community execution. Berau Coal is not yet earned to running maximally. Stakeholders entangling like on duty local government for example, only happened at field technical level. The pattern of the partnership that built up is not yet synergies.<p>From the economics perspective, there are positive change was related to the increase in the level of the life of Berau society. The efforts opportunity was becoming open progressively after the mining company operated in Berau. In the educational field, the main succeeded of the CSR program just limited by the fulfillment of education physical medium along with its facilities. This success was not yet matched by the community access power towards education. The opportunity to access education is true increase especially in the hinterland but only in the middle education level, like SMP and SMU.<p>Besides because of comdev management from company less integrated, the pursuing of comdev program is also caused by the achievement factor of Community Development Officer (CDO) that was not more maximal. CDO who's handling comdev it is true having the capability and quite adequate competence, but in the implementation comdev was not yet optimal.<p>According to program execution with principle Community Development seems have to be re-arranged, because many program especially less precise on target. The selection against the aid recipient also must be tightened related appropriate not him the community target this accepted aid. <br />
