In Indonesia, colouring essence is widely used in industry such as textile and printing. The use of this colouring essence together with other substance is mostly used in industrial process in which some part of it will become industrial water waste that in turn will become the source of high pollutant due to its colour essence contents. Activated charcoal of sengon wood is produced by using chemical activation method with three phases in which at carbonation phase each is heated on 300oC and 850oC followed by activation and draimage. This research involves study of adsorption of activated charcoal toward some kinds of colouring essences, among other are : blue methylen, red indigo, blue indigo, and yellow data print ink. text |
