The structure reliability is evaluated by the First Order Analysis and Monte Carlo Simulation. The results are compared to columns designed based on the strength approach ("TCPSB" = Tata Cara Perancangan Struktur Beton) In this study , it is assumed that loads, strength of material, etc are random variables The results of this study indicate that the slenderness of the column has a significant influence on the reliability of the column. If the slenderness of the columns increases, and the longitudinal steel ratio of the column will increase, the reliability of the column decreases. Futhermore, the result of the study suggested a design procedure for a slender column of a the simple frame text
