Description
Summary:AC generators are generally arranged on rotating coils that is placed in a homogeneous field. In this final project, the AC generator is designed as alternating current generator that consists of a rotating rod magnet and stator coils and arranged so that each order of coils generates the voltage with different phase of 120 degrees. The rotation of rod magnet causes a change in magnetic fields that penetrate the coil so that generate Electric Motor Force (EMF) in the coils. The change of EMF toward the time displayed in graph form using oscilloscope. In addition, also examined the relationship between angle and magnetic fields, magnetic fields and time, EMF and time, and current and time using some variable as parameters such number of coils and addition of iron core in the coils. With the help of this equipment, it is expected that students' mastery and understanding of materials physics, particularly three-phase generator to be easier and better. Three-phase and two-phase generator output can be displayed on oscilloscope monitor in the schools so that students can be motivated to learn.
