Many vendors offers solutions with their own distinctive advantages with competitive price range. Companies have to make the right decision to invest their money on the right product to strengthen their business competitive edge. Choosing the wrong system is a waste of resources that will certainly not helping the company to achieve its goals.<p>A model needs to be developed to address the problem of selecting IT systems that will support business strategy and also provide means to deal with dependence and feedback among criteria. Hence the model will be developed using the strategic alignment model and analytic network process. Strategic alignment model provides the direction to align business and IT. Analytic network process provides the framework to incorporate dependence and feedback among selection criteria.<p>The model will then be tested to select ERP system for R-NGN Phone Company. Implementation began with selection of suitable alignment perspective then followed by determination of selection criteria for ERP system. Pairwise comparisons were carried out to measure the relative importance of criteria according to the chosen alignment perspective. The final result will show the best alternative for the given set of condition. Further development analysis and sensitivity analysis were also performed. The implementation of the model to ERP selection case shows that the model is workable to real case setting. <br /> text |
