In this research, coconut fiber has used to become a source material for cellulose acetate and then we made polymer electrolyte by mixing cellulose acetate with various concentration of lithium salt. To know the characteristic of polymer electrolyte, which has doped with lithium salt, we characterized this material with FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) instrument to analyze functional groups, EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) to analyze conductivity, optical microscope and X-Ray diffraction to analyze morphology of this mixture, DTA/TGA(Differential Thermal Analysis/Thermo Gravimetric Analysis) to analyze thermal stability, and tensile tester to know the mechanical strength of this polymer electrolyte. The result from this experiment showed that the presence of lithium salt in cellulose acetate has increased rigidity and conductivity of this material, but decreased in the thermal stability. text |
